ASL Interpretation will be provided for the entire event.
Temple Sinai is wheelchair accessible, including restrooms.
The Main Entrance at 5505 Forbes (between the pillars to the left of the stairs) is accessible, and there is a curb cut in the sidewalk to the left of it.
There is street parking on Forbes, including approximately 3 designated handicap spots on Forbes in front of the entrance.
There is additional limited handicap parking (2 van accessible) behind Temple Sinai on Kittanning Way, enter from Wightman St. as it is one-way. There is an accessible entrance on Kittanning Way from this lot that is close to the event room.
ACCESS/limited mobility Drop off/pick up should be made at the Kittanning Way entrance. There is no address for this entrance, so you may use the 5505 Forbes address for GPS/ACCESS, but go to Wightman, and turn down Kittanning Way (a one-way alley) behind the synagogue.
March/Tree Planting Accessibility: RAIN OR SHINE
The march is just under a mile on sidewalks with curb cuts and city streets.
Directions to the tree planting will be available at Temple Sinai for those who wish to drive over, and there will be a designated gathering area for those who wish to offer/need a ride. However, public parking may be limited. There is no designated handicap parking, and much of the street parking abuts grass.
The planting site is grass, mostly on an incline, with just a small patch of flat concrete sidewalk nearby. A limited number of chairs will be available for those who require them at the planting site.
There is a single standard (non-accessible) port-a-potty about 0.10 mi from the planting site on a dirt/gravel road, and an accessible port-a-potty on the march route about 0.15 mi before the planting site.
