Rabbi Menachem Creditor

Rabbi Menachem Creditor serves as the Pearl and Ira Meyer Scholar in Residence at UJA-Federation New York. Previously he led Congregation Netivot Shalom in Berkeley, CA, and the founder and co-chair of Rabbis Against Gun Violence. A frequent speaker in communities and campuses around the United States and Israel with over 1 million views of his online videos, he was named by Newsweek as one of the fifty most influential rabbis in America. His 19 books and 6 albums of original music include the global Jewish anthem “Olam Chesed Yibaneh” and the Rabbis Against Gun Violence anthology “None Shall Make Them Afraid.” He has been involved in the leadership of American Jewish World Service, AIPAC and the One America Movement, an organization dedicated to bringing together Americans of different faiths and opinions.

A SHABBAT EXPERIENCE!

Friday, February 28

6:00 pm—Shabbat Service–please note special time.

Rabbi Creditor will deliver the D’var Torah during the service.

Dinner following the service will include a lecture by Rabbi Creditor about uses and abuses of power in the Jewish community.

Dinner: $10/person

*Temple’s LGBTQ+ Task Force will have a limited number of Rainbow Kippahs available for purchase before the Friday night service ($18 each).  Cash or check accepted, or you can pay after Shabbat if that’s your preference.

Saturday, February 29

9:00 am—Torah Study led by Rabbi Creditor

10:30 am— Learning Session 1: Gun Violence and the Jewish Community

12:00 pm— Lunch

1:00 pm— Learning Session 2: LGBTQ+ Individuals, concerns, and cares in the Jewish Community
