BACKGROUND:

Squirrel Hill Stands Against Gun Violence, in concert with a large group of gun safety partners, the Common Agenda Coalition, have been working to move forward a suite of 4 gun safety bills which we call the Common Agenda. They are:

  • HB 731 to require that guns be stored safely in the home;

  • HB 338 to require the reporting of lost and stolen firearms;

  • HB 1018 to create Extreme Risk Protection Orders;

  •  HB 714 to enact universal background checks.

All representatives will be able to vote on the bills. Should the bills pass, they then move on to the State Senate.

But first we ALL need to make sure that our state representatives know how important it is that they vote YES on the entire agenda.
