Squirrel Hill Stands Against Gun Violence meets with Congressman Conor Lamb (PA-17).

Members of Squirrel Hill Stands met with Congressman Conor Lamb (PA-17) yesterday. After our members have repeatedly shown up at Rep. Lamb's town halls, Lamb co-sponsored H.R.1236, the Extreme Risk Protection Order (red flag) bill. We thanked him for his support on Universal Background Checks and Extreme Risk Orders but spent most of the meeting discussing limits on high capacity magazines (H.R.

1186, the Keep Americans Safe Act). Unfortunately Mr. Lamb is not ready to support this bill. He is also not actually opposed to it and until a month ago was not supporting red flag laws either, so we need to keep working. Rep. Lamb DID commit to speak out more to bring more attention to extreme risk orders and their benefits to veterans.
