On March 15 members of Squirrel Hill Stands Against Gun Violence met with PA Senator Bob Casey. Senator Casey is a co-sponsor of S. 42, the Background Checks Expansion bill, for which we thanked him. We discussed the upcoming hearing on Extreme Risk Protection Orders which Senator Graham is planning to hold. We hope that the personal stories which members told will help Senator Casey to move his colleagues. We also listened to Senator Casey's advice on how to share our stories with our legislators and others to move the conversation forward in a meaningful way.
