Squirrel Hill Stands Against Gun Violence was honored to testify at the Democratic Policy Committee Hearings on an assault weapons ban. Also testifying were Shira Goodman, Executive Director of CeaseFire PA, Dr. Raquel Forsythe, director of trauma at UPMC Presbyterian, Allegheny County Executive, Rich Fitzgerald, Pittsburgh City Council members Erika Strassburger and Daniel Lavelle and Katie Leslie of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Representatives in attendance included Reps. Ed Gainey, Sara Innamorato, Summer Lee and Dan Frankl.
