Squirrel Hill Stands Against Violence Meets With State Senator Lindsey Williams

Members of Squirrel Hill Stands Against Gun Violence and Rob Conroy of Ceasefire Pennsylvania met with PA State Senator Lindsey Williams (SD- 38) today. Senator Williams pledged to co-sponsor SB88 (Universal Background Checks for Firearms) and SB90 (Extreme Risk Protection Orders). She stated her support for limiting magazine capacity to 10 rounds but is not yet a supporter of a ban on assault style weapons (SB 292). She stated that she wants to be sure to represent her district (what she was elected to do) and is open to continued discussion. Hopefully over time she will see that the majority of Americans favor stricter gun laws, including an assault weapons ban and that these laws will save lives.
