Fourteen volunteers from Squirrel Hill Stands and Moms Demand Action spent a couple of hours making calls for Lissa Geiger Shulman, running for state representative in PA House District 30. We made 639 calls, having conversations with 59 voters (not a lot of people home today) and leaving messages with the rest. While phone banking can be slow some days (we made a lot more contact last weekend), it's the best way we have right now to reach voters. And every conversation brings us a step closer to winning a gun safety majority in the legislature.
